Artwork
The TTANGO artwork was designed by Nina Turner, a Kokatha woman with family ties to the Yunkanyjatjara Peoples of the far north of South Australia and the Narrungga Peoples of the Yorke Peninsula. She grew up in the coastal town of Wallaroo with her family but later in life she traced her heritage to the Central Desert Regions of SA. Here she learnt stories about her culture and their way of life allowing her to experience traditional cultural practices with her new family.
Nina has always had a deep interest in art and painting, following in the footsteps of her father and many other family members. It wasn't until her late 20's that her love grew to aboriginal paintings after spending alot of time with her traditional family where she developed different techniques and understanding of stories that she bring to life in her art. She had many mentors who sat down and taught her how to relay a story on canvas and the different symbols and styles to do this.

Sidney Williams was born on Kamilaroi country (Narrabri) and spent early childhood growing up in Narrabri and a small place called Boggabri. During this early period, drawing formed an essential part of his life learning from his Auntie and observing his mother with her art, which influenced his drawings. Sidney spent much of his adolescent growing up on the mid north coast of NSW in Nambucca Heads. Here he continued to develop his drawing skills but began to explore other mediums to express ideas and concepts. Today Sidney has contributed to a number of concepts and designs such as logos for organisations, project reports as well as one of his works being used by a PHD student to explain her thesis.
