Program Governance

The First Nations Molecular POC Testing Program has been a journey of co-design and collaboration for more than 10 years, between:

  • Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
  • government health departments
  • academic institutes
  • pathology providers
  • industry

The POC testing implementation is led by primary health services and supported by Kirby Institute and Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing, with cultural and clinical oversight to ensure the Program and its protocols remain culturally appropriate while ensuring high analytical quality of POC test results.

The Program has had First Nations governance groups at each stage of the journey, where group members provide cultural advice on all aspects of the Program, and act as cultural ambassadors for the Program.

TTANGO Leaders Group

The First Nations Molecular Point-of-Care Testing Program acknowledges all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of the lands on which we live and work, as well as the Health Services and Communities we work closely with. We recognise their deep and continuing connection to land and sea, and pay respect to Elders past and present.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of deceased persons.
